Levofloxacin Hydrochloride and Sodium Chloride Injection

[Indications and Clinical use]: For respiratory infectious disease, urinary infectious disease, reproductive infectious disease and so on.


100ml: 0.1g levofloxacin hydrochloride and 0.9g sodium chloride

100ml: 0.2g levofloxacin hydrochloride and 0.9g sodium chloride

100ml: 0.25g levofloxacin hydrochloride and 0.9g sodium chloride

100ml: 0.3g levofloxacin hydrochloride and 0.86g sodium chloride

100ml: 0.4g levofloxacin hydrochloride and 0.9g sodium chloride

100ml: 0.5g levofloxacin hydrochloride and 0.9g sodium chloride

[Drug Name] Levofloxacine Hydrochloride and Sodium Chloride



The product is a slight yellowish-green or yellowish-green clear liquid.

[Pharmacological Actions]
1. Avoid to using this injection with theophylline at the same time. 2. When used with warfarin or its derivatives, you should be monitoring prothrombin time or other blood coagulation test. 3. When used with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs at the same time, may cause the twitching. 4. When used with oral fall blood sugar medicine at the same time, may cause glucose disorders.

This drug applies to infection caused by sensitive bacteria, such as resporactory tract infections, senile infection in urinary system, reproductive tract infection, skin soft tissue infection, enteral infections, ichorrhemia and other infections.
Forbid to use the medicine for the patient who is allergy with quinolone drugs.

[Dosage and Administration]

Intravenous drip: 1. Levofloxacin 0.1g, 400ml for adult (0.4g), transfusing for two times. The biggest daily doses can increase to 600ml for adult (0.6g). 2. Levofloxacin 0.2g, 200ml for adult (0.4g), transfusing for two times. The biggest daily doses can increase to 300ml for adult (0.6g).

[Adverse Reactions]

Levofloxacin injection may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:

• nausea

• vomiting

• stomach pain

• constipation

• heartburn

• diarrhea

• headache

• vaginal itching and/or discharge

•irritation, pain, tenderness, redness, warmth, or swelling at the injection spot


Before administering levofloxacin:

Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to cinoxacin (Cinobac), ciprofloxacin (Cipro), enoxacin (Penetrex), erythromycin, levofloxacin, lomefloxacin (Maxaquin), nalidixic acid (NegGram), norfloxacin (Noroxin), ofloxacin (Floxin), sparfloxacin (Zagam), or any other drugs.

Tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications you are taking, especiallyother antibiotics, anticoagulants (“blood thinners”) such as warfarin (Coumadin), cancer chemotherapy agents, cimetidine (Tagamet), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), phenytoin (Dilantin), probenecid (Benemid), sucralfate (Carafate), theophylline (Theo-Dur), and vitamins.

Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had kidney or liver disease, seizures, colitis, stomach problems, vision problems, heart disease, or a history of stroke.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking levofloxacin, call your doctor immediately.

Plan to avoid unnecessary or prolonged exposure to sunlight and to wear protective clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Levofloxacin may make your skin sensitive to sunlight.

You should know that this drug may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, and tiredness. Do not drive a car or operate machinery until you know how levofloxacin affects you.

Keep in mind that it causes increased or decreased blood sugar in patients taking antidiabetes medications or insulin. Careful monitoring of blood glucose is advised. If you experience a significant drop in blood glucose, stop taking levofloxacin and call your doctor.

Your health care provider probably will give you a several-day supply of levofloxacin at a time. If you are received levofloxacin intravenously in your vein, you would be told to store at room temperature.

Store your medication only as directed. Make sure you understand what you need to store your medication properly. Keep your supplies in a clean, dry place when you are not using them, and keep all medications and supplies out of reach of children. Your health care provider will tell you how to throw away used needles, syringes, tubing, and containers to avoid accidental injury.
